Is it ok to eat pre made cookie dough?

I was wondering if it is ok to eat pre made cookie dough, like the stuff you get from Pillsbury, Nestle Toll House, Sally Foster, etc. The stuff I have says that it contains eggs. Is it alright if I eat the cookie dough raw?
