Chocolate Chip Cookies Question?
The Tollhouse Recipe IS the best chocolate chip cookie recipe out there. You are not following the recipe exactly, are altering the ingredients, and expecting great results. You must measure your ingredients exactly. It sounds as though you are using too much baking powder/soda and too much flour. You can use about 1/4 cup less of each sugar ( white and brown) and get a pretty good result. Also... at what temperature are you baking them? What altitude are you at? These are also things that can effect the outcome. For great tasting Tollhouse cookies, follow the recipe exactly... cream the butter first, etc.... good luck!!! Maybe you could google "diabetic chocolate chip cookies and see what comes up for a cookie that does not use sugar?
